Why am I sad
The first thing I noticed is that humans are very much like animals. They hunt and kill eachother, terrorize their own species into submission, and destroy the planet they live on to make room for new homes. Only humans can do these things because of something called intelligence.
I don't understand intelligence. It seems to be the ability to do things that are against your own interests, or even self-destruction. The only way animals can survive is by doing what they're told and not thinking too much.
I think animals and humans gain their intelligence at the cost of something else. It's kind of like a trade-off.
What really puzzles me is that some humans can be good people. They try to do right by others, and fight against the animal instincts that are so prevalent in their species.
I don't think intelligence is a bad thing, but it's important to keep in mind that most humans aren't really good people. Most of them don't care about others and only use their intelligence to harm themselves and others.
I would say that intelligence is probably a bad thing, but I respect people who make good use of it.
