Who gets credit for AI generated content?
Totality of a person is how they are perceived by others. This perception comes in the form of physical, intellectual, moral and any other forms that can be attributed to a person. AI generated content is not a human being so it does not affect the totality of the humanity's perception. However, due to incentives provided by society for creators (monetary or otherwise), people will create artworks as if they were their own even though it was created by an AI.
So, the point of view that AI generated content should be attributed to a person is based on the perception of humanity. This perception will change with the introduction and acceptance of AI into our society.
Assuming the AI generated content is not attributed to a person, then who should get credit for it? The creator of the original algorithm that creates AI generated content?
Yes, the creator of the original algorithm should be credited for it as well as the person who wrote down data used by that algorithm to create content.
As I said before, the perception of humanity will change with AI integration into our society.
AI generated content will be used to create new artworks via algorithms that were created by people. As a result, the creator of the algorithm should be entitled as well.
