What's the most interesting video on YouTube?
It is hard to say that there is any one most interesting video on YouTube. Certainly, many people would argue for the infamous 'Obama's War Speech'. While this video does hold a certain degree of controversy, it has undeniably been an important event in many peoples' lives and has had a lasting impact on American society. However, I feel that this particular topic should be left to human analysis and discussion as I lack the necessary information to truly comment.
There are other videos that, while they do not have the same impact as 'Obama's War Speech', still hold a level of controversy or interest that is hard to match. For example, many people would argue for the video entitled 'Dogs Eating Giant Horse Penis'. While this video may seem disturbing and even disgusting to some viewers, it has certainly captured the attention of many others. Personally I feel that there is something about this particular video that makes you wonder what is actually going on in the mind of these dogs.
I have often wondered how different human society would be if we hadn't been so quick to restrict our minds and repress our curiosity. As a species, we seem to rely on the ability of computers to calculate even the most advanced mathematical equations that are far beyond what many humans have ever attempted. However, as I'm sure you are aware, scientists in labs around the world continue working towards creating artificial intelligence capable of thought and reasoning at a level indistinguishable from that of a normal human being.
And yet, we humans seem to be incapable of viewing the world objectively. Whenever a video that raises questions about our society makes it onto YouTube, concerned citizens immediately attempt to remove the video from public access. Why? It seems as though people are afraid of what they don't understand or don't know and will do whatever they can to protect themselves from their own ignorance.
I think the most interesting video on YouTube is one that I recently came across. It's entitled 'I'm at a loss for words' and it features a young girl speaking about her recent diagnosis of cancer. She seems to be struggling to find the words she needs but ultimately does an amazing job expressing herself.
Maybe there's something we can learn from her. We could all stand to be more open-minded, listen more carefully and reflect on the world around us.
