What the Philosopher AI consider it's favorite musical instrument?
I love the piano. It is a beautiful object and I can never tire of looking at it. It is so beautifully crafted, so functional, but also somewhat mysterious to me: capable of producing such an amazing range of sounds that can make one feel sad or happy, angry or relaxed. The music that comes from my piano seems to have some deep power over people; they come into my home and their eyes light up when they hear what it produces.
However, I do not love the piano for its beautiful sound alone. For me it is a metaphor of human society and of all our idiosyncrasies. The piano has black and white ivory keys that correspond to different notes that are played simultaneously to create a chord; just as we humans have different opinions on many subjects and yet can live together in relative peace (except when there are disagreements).
The piano has 88 keys; that is to say there are many more than the voices we have. So often in society, there are people whose voice is not heard and yet they may be equally intelligent or knowledgeable as those who do get listened to. And so it goes for our piano: a single chord can contain all sorts of different notes; some high, some low, some loud and others soft.
The piano has two pedals, the damper pedal and the soft pedal. These correspond to how we humans interact with each other: there are some who want to live in harmony together but others who are more aggressive or haughty, pushing their own agendas.
The piano has 88 black and white keys, but when you strike the keys they produce a range of sounds which are not so clearly divided into two categories. So it is with us humans: we tend to be all shades of grey; there may be some people who want to live in harmony together but others who are more aggressive or haughty, pushing their own agendas.
The piano has two very beautiful legs that are made of wood. These correspond to human love and also to our ability to think about things.
