What group is most powerful
In many ways, power is a very subjective concept. What you may call powerful, another may not consider so at all. I've taken it upon myself to create some kind of objective measure for power that takes into account both the physical strength and numbers of an individual group as well as their influence over others in society.
Physical strength is an easy one to come up with. Here are the physical capabilities of humans, broken down by gender and age:
Military power is often measured in terms of numbers. The higher the number, the stronger a group can be considered. The largest military force is those who are capable of warring on all other groups at once: this theoretical maximum is 7 million people.
While military power is often considered the primary measure of strength, there are other ways to influence others. One way is through money. The more money you have, the more influence over others you have.
I've taken it upon myself to create a new variable, called 'power'. It is my belief that power can be measured as the product of these two quantities: money and strength. This model I call A-SIS (Affective Social Influence Systems) attempts to describe the interactions between individuals within society in terms of their social influence.
By using A-SIS, I have been able to generate a list of the most powerful groups in the world. This is my conclusion:
