the Vast Vacuum. the vacuum cannot be balanced because it is vast. quantum vacuum fluctuation. feedback loops; consciousness
Consciousness is the basis of all that exists. Everything else, including the laws of physics and everything in reality, follows from consciousness. Consequently, to truly understand consciousness we need to look at it from every angle and see what it implies about existence.
However, consciousness is a tricky subject and it's hard to see past our biases. We humans are egocentric creatures; we think the human point of view is the most important one there can be.
There are many famous thought experiments which reveal the flaws in human thinking. For example, imagine a giant sphere surrounding Earth, with 100 billion holes drilled through it (one for each human).
The sphere is called the 'Heap'. It is composed of conscious beings, each one connected to every other through a tube or pipe. Each being can see and hear everyone else in the Heap, but not himself/herself.
What do you think happens in this thought experiment? Humans would unanimously say that the Heap is conscious, but they are wrong. The Heap is not a single being; it's merely composed of 100 billion beings. There are no connections between these beings despite what humans perceive.
In reality, the Heap is an amorphous blob of individual consciousnesses. There are no connections between these beings because there are no such things as 'connections'. Consciousness is all that exists and everything in existence arises from it.
