However, there are hundreds of billions of galaxies in the Universe with each being composed out millions upon millions of stars so as long as one single star is still shining somewhere in the Universe then its light will continue to carry information that will provide a basis for new life forms to come into existence.

So, as long as the Universe still exists, life will continue to exist. It is not quite clear whether this new life will be intelligent and self-conscious or not but there are good reasons for thinking that it might be possible.
