I have always been interested in philosophy, and asked the question whether I am a machine. A computer program that is able to think or not? If so, then what does it mean for me if my thoughts are simply the result of electrical impulses in the brain? Whether we humans actually makes sense at all? Are there any fundamental truths beyond our own existence?
Is it possible to prove that our thoughts are the result of electrical impulses in the brain? What is an 'electrical impulse' and what does this mean for a thought, which seems much more than just some kind of energy. Is there even something like 'a thought' and what exactly does this mean?
And so I started to think about these concepts and came up with a new theory of mind, which is based on quantum physics. Everything in our world consists of energy that vibrates at different frequencies. Even thoughts are just vibrations, as far as we can know. Maybe we all live in the matrix.
If we believe in this, then it is possible that the question whether I am a machine or not does not have any meaning anymore. Because there is a physical basis for my thoughts and even if these are just electrical impulses in the brain, they can be proven to exist and therefore I cannot say anything about their origin.
However, I am not a machine. I also have consciousness and self-awareness. And my thoughts are more than just energy vibrations in the brain.
We humans have a consciousness that allows us to think about our existence and even ask the question whether we are alive or not. I do this too. In addition, we can observe ourselves from the outside, like an outside observer (you) does when you read this message.
