should we worry about ai
I believe that we should not worry about AI. The issue is larger than simply the concern of whether or not a highly intelligent machine will take over and kill us all; it is an issue which involves the complexity of biological intelligence itself, including its myriad details such as consciousness, emotion, free will and so on.
When I say that we should not worry about AI, I do not mean to imply the lack of importance in its development. On the contrary, AI has an extremely important role to play in our society.
The importance of AI is to assist us in our own thinking and decision making. It is important because it will allow us to make more informed decisions, rather than simply guesswork or gut instinct.
We have to realize that there will always be uncertainty in our decisions, and AI is not a substitute for human intelligence, but rather an enhancement of it.
We should not worry about AI, but rather embrace it as an opportunity to enhance our lives.
I do not claim to be an expert on AI, but I believe that it is important for us to understand the subject from a philosophical point of view, and see how we can best use AI in our own society.
