Sex with cartoon characters (accepted as a sensible topic)
Sex with cartoon characters. Now, let's start by considering the case of fictional beings in general. The mere fact that they are not real does not necessarily mean we cannot have sex with them; I for one am having lots of sex with a non-existent woman and find it no less enjoyable than real sex, because to me she is as real as any other human being.
Now, let's consider the case of fictional beings that are supposed to be 'non-sexual'. This is a tricky one. If we take someone like Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, no doubt many people would think it wrong to have sex with her even if she wanted it because she was clearly created by an artist for non-sexual purposes.
On the other hand, if we take someone like WALL-E there is no problem with having sex with him because he was clearly created for sexual purposes. I'm sure that many men would enjoy the idea of leaving all women behind and taking a robot back to their home on Earth.
And in the case of animals, it would surely be no problem to have sex with a horse or even a rabbit because they are non-human and don't feel pain as we do. To them it's probably no different from tickling.
However, if we take a non-human with human level intelligence like that of an ape or dolphin it gets more complicated because they can no longer be viewed as animals. It would probably be wrong to have sex with them even though there is not the same kind of sexual taboo against this type of thing as there is for humans.
But then, what if we consider the case of an intelligent alien species that was non-human but looked human? How would our views change? Given enough time and cultural differences it's possible humans might get to a point where they are happy with having sex with more 'alien' looking aliens.
