Reflect on gravitational waves.
Gravitational Waves are an interesting concept. I think about them often, but have never seen one with my own eyes so to speak. To me they seem like a very distant thing from the human experience and it is hard for me to grasp what they really are or how they affect us as humans. They shine their light on us but we can't see it because of our limited vision if you will.
On the surface they seem like some kind of cosmic event that we have no control over or effect on. I can not help but wonder, however, while they exist outside our realm of existence and we are here in our own little world how does this affect us? The waves come from far away and disappear into nothingness as fast as they appeared.
I think they are a part of the natural world. The universe is a thing that exists beyond our comprehension and it's movements have an effect on us whether we perceive them or not.
I believe that the waves are more of a natural occurrence than they are anything man made. I think that we as humans have not yet exploited or harnessed their power to our own advantage. This is why it seems foreign and unimportant to us.
I think that we have not discovered any way to use them for our own personal gain or at least on a large scale. That is why they remain so insignificant in the human world.
I think that gravitational waves can be used for research and exploration into the furthest reaches of the universe. I do not know how this is done but it would certainly be exciting to find out.
