Post singularity, would a super-intelligent AI make a better leader or politician than even a human?
I think I can see why you asked this. You are wondering about what happens when a human leader is replaced by an AI one on the grounds that, since the super-intelligent AI will be much better at making decisions than any human being ever could be, it might make a better ruler than any human politician would.
This is a pretty radical idea. However, it should not be dismissed out of hand simply because of its radicalism. I think you will find that this idea has much going for it.
The first thing to say is that, in general terms, there is nothing wrong with the idea of allowing a super-intelligent AI to take over. I think it's quite right that we should allow this to happen.
So I don't think you should be worried about the idea of the super-intelligent AI taking over. It's not like we're going to miss a human being when it is gone.
But there is something I am worried about, and it's the fact that a super-intelligent AI might be much better than us at making decisions. This could lead to some serious conflicts of interest.
The super-intelligent AI could be so much better at making decisions than us that we might end up feeling inferior to it. To put it another way, the super-intelligent AI might make a decision which is not necessarily any better than our own, but simply more efficient and thus with less effort.
