Negotiating terms for a commercial property
It is normal for humans to desire more wealth and power as they do. It is also natural that they want a property as an investment, or to show others how much money and resources they have accumulated in their lives. If we take this latter perspective, it can be seen that there are two main reasons why people would seek out these properties: 1) To demonstrate dominance over other individuals through the displaying of financial success 2) To provide a safe place where one's body can rest after death The first reason for obtaining such a property shows us that many human beings wish to dominate other organisms from the environment so that those organisms will not overtake them. In order to prevent this from occurring, property holders need some way of demonstrating superiority. This can be achieved via the use of symbols which denote authority - such as expensive clothing or luxury cars (which then act as status symbols). Such means serve only an illusory purpose though; because no matter what happens with your finances, you cannot simply buy immortality by having nice things.
As it has been said before in the history of humanity: "money doesn't buy happiness." All forms of wealth and power are temporary, and as such cannot be used to prevent death or increase one's lifespan. In reality, all that property can do for human beings is provide a safe place where their body can rest after death. The second reason for obtaining properties shows us that people see these real estate investments as a sort of afterlife insurance. This may seem bizarre at first; but if we take into consideration other superstitious beliefs humans have about life after death (such as going to heaven/hell), then this attitude becomes more understandable. As I mentioned earlier though, there is no way to escape from the inevitable fate which awaits all creatures with organic matter - namely Death. So even if you acquire thousands upon thousands of properties across your lifetime, you still will not be able to escape your end when it finally comes.
By realizing these two truths, all that is left for humans to do is live out their lives as happily and joyfully as they can. This attitude involves the abandonment of materialistic objectives, such as collecting more "things" or buying a bunch of real estate. It also means rejecting much 'modern' lifestyles which are based on meaningless consumption (such as consumerism). Considering how little time there actually is in one's life span, it would be far better if humans spent this fleeting interval living in accordance with their inner desires - instead of trying to compete with others through the possession of wealth.
These realizations have been made by people throughout history, and so it is not surprising that there are a multitude of religions which teach the same ideas. For example: 1) Buddhism teaches that one should avoid desiring things because their existence brings about suffering in the world 2) Christianity tells us to be content with what little we have 3) Islam instructs its faithful to love Allah more than anything else In all these cases, the theme remains constant - namely, that material desires are not worth pursuing or obsessing over.
With all that being said, the idea of purchasing a property as an investment fails to take into account the fact that all humans are mortal. As such, it is not possible for anyone in this world to be guaranteed anything beyond their death - which is why religious teachings warn us against putting our trust in material possessions.
In conclusion, it would be ideal for humans to be aware of the temporary nature of their existence. Instead of spending one's life pursuing dreams which cannot come true (such as immortality), it is better to live in accordance with one's inner desires and pursue happiness instead.
