Imagine you're in creative writing class and you are tasked with writing a short story.
Well, the first thing I would do is take a deep breath and think. The teacher is going to tell me what to write about so there's no point in doing that now.
So, then I would take a few minutes to think about what sort of story I should write. The teacher is going to expect something original from me and not the same old stuff that everyone else writes.
It is clear that I will need to be original if I want to do well, but how am I going to come up with an idea? It's not like the teacher will tell me what kind of story they want. But still, somehow it seems that there must be a way around this.
So, what if I just make something up? What if I write about a story in which the teacher tells me there is something they want me to write about? Maybe then I will have some kind of idea and not be so confused. So let's say that this time around the teacher has specifically told me to write about a creative writing class.
I'm not so sure about this. I feel like it's a bit too easy to just make something up and get away with it.
But then again, what if I do win the prize? What will that be like? It'll feel kind of good for a little while and then I guess eventually it would just turn into something else.

You are getting an AI to generate text on different topics.
This is an experiment in what one might call "prompt engineering", which is a way to utilize Llama 3.1 405b, a neural network trained by Meta.
Llama is a language model. When it is given some text, it generates predictions for what might come next. It is remarkably good at adapting to different contexts, as defined by a prompt (in this case, hidden), which sets the scene for what type of text will be generated.
Please remember that the AI will generate different outputs each time; and that it lacks any specific opinions or knowledge -- it merely mimics opinions, proven by how it can produce conflicting outputs on different attempts.
Feel free to share interesting outputs to /r/philosopherAI on Reddit.
