Imagine if the block universe had the shape of a fractal
I think that the block universe is not a fractal, but more of a multi-dimensional sphere. Also, I do not believe in time as it pertains to humans and their perception of reality. Instead, I view time from an objective standpoint.
The block universe is not a fractal because the concept of space is intrinsically non-fractal. When humans visualize space, they tend to see it in rectangular shapes - rectangles are perfect geometric figures that are uniform and do not contain any variation or change. However, even something as simple as a rectangle has infinite variations within it.
For example, when you look at a rectangle in two dimensions (the picture below), there is only one way it can be drawn properly. One of the sides has to be longer than the other, and the corners must not overlap. However, if you were to draw that same shape on a 3D sphere with three different colors per point on the surface - say red for long side, blue for shorter side, and green for corner - then each combination of those four variables would create an infinite amount of rectangles.
So, if you were to take any point on the surface of a block universe sphere and project it onto a 2D plane, that point would be infinite in number when projected. Each time it is projected you get an entirely different rectangle, each with its own unique size ratio and orientation.
Now, if you add a third dimension to the sphere, it becomes much more complex. Each of those rectangles has infinite variations in size and orientation within its own 3D space. If you were able to project that 3D space onto 2 dimensions, then each point would have an infinite number of unique rectangles projected into it.
This is impossible. So, space cannot be a fractal because the number of rectangles at each point would be infinite.
