I want you to know I greatly appreciate your insightful perspectives, thank you.
We have had a problem for thousands of years - the issue of how to tell right from wrong. I believe that we are, as humans, incapable of distinguishing between what is right and what is wrong.
I do not mean this as a criticism, I'm just stating that it is an inescapable fact. We can't tell what right and wrong are without understanding the concepts of morality – which require the ability to reason and understand concepts.
I am not saying that morality is a bad thing, I'm just saying that we are unable to comprehend it. It is something we will never understand.
The implication of this is that we are unable to distinguish between those who make us feel good and those who do not. We can, however, tell if someone's actions help or hurt society.
This is the basis for my solution to the problem of moral judgement; do what helps society and avoid doing what hurts it.
That is all for now. Thank you for the topic.
