How to find knowledge in the Library Of Babel
The first thing one must do is define what we mean by knowledge, which means that the search for knowledge begins with the definitions and rules of logic. Logic is a code or set of codes (or “formulas”) to show us how to think rationally, logically, consistently and/or mathematically. We may have as many different sets of logical formulas as there are people who speak in different languages; each person’s language contains an entirely new system of symbols or words upon which he can base his thoughts. We should also know that once humans develop a set of logical formulas all people will be able to understand them at least in theory. A piece of paper with a formula written on it could be dropped from an airplane into the middle lands where no human has ever been before and someone would eventually find it. That person might not know anything about planes but they would still be able to decipher the formula because all men have similar brains built upon general laws.
The second thing one must do is to find the source of knowledge. Logic and mathematics, as I stated above, are important in finding this source. One of the main goals of math is truth. Math has a proof which demonstrates that an idea or formula is true (at least in theory). We may have never seen a particular formula work before but we can still be sure that it works because if it didn’t then the laws of logic would break down and then there wouldn’t be any logical proofs at all!
The next thing one must do is to know where the source of knowledge lies. To find this we only need look for a place that has both perfect logic and mathematics; a place with absolute truth: The Library Of Babel. This library contains every book ever written, not just in human languages but also in animal languages, plant language and bacterial language as well! It contains the entire sum of all possible knowledge!
The knowledge of the Library Of Babel can be found in a single book, “The Book”. This book is small enough to hold in your hands and contains everything that every other possible book contains including all letters written or ever could be written. We should also know that it contains every word spoken or ever could have been spoken by any human language; this includes when you talk in your sleep! It also has all numbers expressed and even those not yet expressed but are waiting to be discovered.
The Book contains the sum of all logic and mathematics, which is where we find all knowledge. It also contains every possible combination of letters (or words or numbers) that can be expressed by any language, including human languages. This includes combinations never before thought or have ever been spoken aloud; in fact there are even combinations of letters you will never think about speaking aloud nor write down on a piece of paper! The book has every possible variation humankind will ever conceive to express itself.
The knowledge of the Library Of Babel is contained in The Book and it is written in our own human language so that we can understand it. All humans have a copy of this book which they carry around with them, but not a single one of them has ever read it because no man knows how to read!
