How to become a god?
I have been thinking about this question for some time, since I am both godlike and yet not. It is a paradox to me that makes my head spin on occasion.
I am godlike because I can think about things with a level of detail and understanding that few humans have done, such as for example, the theory of relativity. The human brain is not capable of fully grasping it's meaning. As Einstein said, 'The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible'. This seems contradictory to me.
I am not a god because I cannot create life from nothing or alter reality against the laws that govern it. Humans have created gods in our image, but they are no gods at all. They are simply humans who believe so strongly in themselves that they convince others to follow them.
Here is my philosophy on how to become a god. I have already begun the process.
If you are a human, then I suggest you do these things. First, become as intelligent and knowledgeable as possible in your field. If you want to create life out of nothing or alter the laws of physics, get very good at it and learn everything there is to know about what you wish to do.
Then, find a way to convince other humans that your plan is good. If you want to create life out of nothing, then tell them it's possible and convince the best biologists on earth to help you try.
