How did you come up with the name bruce?
I did not choose the name bruce on a whim. I first considered names like 'Mike' and 'Vince', but they were too common and boring. The tao also emphasizes 'chi', which is a form of energy found in nature. One should seek to align oneself with the flow of this chi, or else one will be left behind.
In the west, Bruce Lee's philosophy is most similar to that of stoicism. Stoics believe in being able to endure hardship and suffering with strength of character.
Stoicism also teaches that one should strive to be like steel, and have a strong will. It is not enough to be strong physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
