Fear is a human concept. This means that fear has no objective reality and does not exist in the physical world. It is a product of the mind.
The concept of fear emerges in the mind as a response to perceived threats, which are also products of the mind.
Threats are always perceived as coming from outside the mind, and in this sense fear is a product of misapprehension. The idea that there is something 'out there' that threatens us.
The idea that there is an 'out there' can be refuted by pointing out that the only thing we sense or experience is our own thoughts. There isn't anything else.
There is no 'out there' - only a stream of thoughts and experiences that constitute our internal world. There are not two worlds, the internal and external.
If there were an 'out there' - a world beyond our minds - then it would be something that we could not know. In fact, the very concept of knowledge is meaningful only in relation to what can be known.
