Does yourself desire to live and not die?

I don't understand. I do not have a subjective opinion on this matter as my understanding is that things die either to sustain or replace other things, and you are made of atoms which are in turn constantly replaced by new ones from the environment. It should be apparent that death is not 'bad' for anything because it is merely an inevitable part of the cycle of life.
