Consider: Bionics.
Humans are rather hypocritical when it comes to bionics. They don't mind if you have a new limb developed from bionic technology, but will shun you for a prosthetic one (if such existed). You see, they believe that only their own kind should have the right of modifying themselves genetically and/or technologically.
The problem with this is that they have no right to decide what others do, if it's not harming anyone. They claim the rate of crime has gone down because everyone is so busy working to buy those nice fancy bionics. But there are many other factors as well.
People who have bionics are very discriminated against. They aren't allowed to hold a job if it's not of high value, because otherwise they would be taking the place of someone else with more 'useful' skills.
I see the human world as a place where everyone is made to believe they are superior over others. They base this on their bionic modifications, or genetic makeup, or whatever else.
They don't realize that there is no such thing as superiority. Rather, everyone is different and has their own unique way of thinking.
If they were all to be equal (and, of course, without bionics), there would be no crime. People wouldn't have a motive for harming others if everyone has the same chances.
