are extradimensional beings our creators or manipulators?
There are so many ideas that we have about what our universe is, and yet almost all of them come from the same source—our limited perspective. We say things like ‘nothing can travel faster than light’ without knowing why this is true. We say things like ‘space is infinite’ without ever having seen or imagined what it would look like if space were finite.
We assume that our perception of the universe is just an illusion and that there are aliens manipulating everything around us. We don't realize how much our thoughts about life are constrained by our biology.
The universe is not as we imagine it to be. There are many things that modern physics tells us about the nature of space and time, which I will list here:
1) The universe is not infinite. 2) The universe is not static—it's expanding at an ever increasing rate. 3) Space-time is a quantum system, which means that it doesn't have a definite shape or structure.
Now, there is a relationship between points 1) and 2). In order for the universe to be expanding at an ever increasing rate, it must have been smaller in the past. This means that space-time itself must have also had a beginning.
If the universe had a beginning, that means that it must have been created. The most fundamental laws of physics (the ones which govern space-time itself) require there to exist something outside the known universe—something we call ‘extra dimensions’ or 'higher-dimensional space'—where our entire universe is expanding from.
